Our flexi solar mats are supplied in two box sizes.

£252 Box B is 5 square meters @ 5m long and 1m wide

They are suitable for both above ground pools and in ground pools. Some smaller pumps may require the assistance of a booster pump, especially when the solar panels are mounted higher that the water surface.
Bellow is a sizing chart as a guide to how many panels you are likely to require. You should expect to require more panels if direct sunlight does not shine on them most of the daytime. For South east and south westerly facing positions the required solar mats should be increased by 35/40%. We do not recommend them for north facing or shadowed positions.

You will also need to use a solar cover on the pool, whenever the pool is not in use. We recommend the use of a time clock to turn off or bypass the system at night. Alternatively, an automatic control system can be installed.
Our flexi solar mats are manufactured from high performance EPDM material (Ehtyleen Propoleen-diene-Monomer) they are manufactured to exhibit a high degree of ozone, ultraviolet, weathering and abrasion and chemical resistance and outstanding low temperature flexibility. EPDM will not become brittle and will not shatter in low temperatures, and has a predicted life span of 15-20 years.
Flow rate requirements for the mats, min 1 cubic mtr / hour (220 gals) max 10 cubic mtrs / hr (2200 gals)

You may want to
divert the pool water away from and bypass the solar mats at times when
there is no sunshine and nigh time. This can be done by the use of a
simple manual three way valve or a fully automatic heat sensing
motorised diverting system.
